We had good bats with Vitello and the season after he left.

Other than that we are pretty low in the league (and in the country) in all batting metrics.

It's been obvious.  It's still obvious.   We have the best player development facilities in the country. Thompson is horrendous and should have been let go three years ago.

We waste the best pitching in the country year after year.   Hobbs has to see it.

For those interested, Kansas State leads Michigan 5-1 in the bottom of the seventh. I have watched several games and one thing I have noticed is hitters of other teams watch the ball all the way into the catcher's glove. In other words, they focus on the pitch. We seem to be looking out in the field every swing. We don't seem to focus on the pitch much at all.

Remember, you don't win every game in baseball. Every team loses games to teams that are "lesser than" themselves.

We seemed to score a lot of runs in the later games against Washington St. Maybe their pitching is not as good down the line. If we continue not to score from strings of hits but from home runs only, yeah, that's an ongoing concern. Home runs always go along with strikeouts.

Hogs take on TCU at 6:00 PM on Flosports TV. In 2023, TCU faced the Hogs three times and scored 50 runs to our 15. Let's hope for a better outcome tonight. TCU is 5-0 and ranked 23rd. The #5 Hogs are 4-1 after the loss last night to Kansas State 3-2. We have the pitching. We need the bats. I will attempt PBP for those who need it. GO HOGS! Also, as a side note, for those who knew her, Marty Cornell, a HUGE Hog baseball fan, passed away today. May she rest in peace and may the Hogs win a NC in her honor. She hardly ever missed a Hog baseball game.
