refs called a lot fouls, but it didn't strike me as egregious.

The only one that stood out to me was when the Vandy player was griping at the ref, walked away a bit, and then turned and shook his finger at the ref and griping some more.

The ref started to call the T, but decided not to.  It was close enough in time to the Cal T that I think he should have called it.

Looking back, the most impressive play from TB last night was probably that put back dunk. He was at the 3pt line when the layup went up and was able to get to the ball and finish. Not as flashy as the breakaway dunks, but I'd say it was more impressive.

Finally got around to watching WarMachine. If we can just get in the tournament, we could make some noise. Davis is finally playing like he should be. Brazile is draft-able if he plays like he's capable of and could do it with consistency. The freshman are playing well.

I was telling someone yesterday I was more impressed with his rebounding. We've seen the highlight dunks from him repeatedly, but that had to be a career high on boards. Some of those he got probably 14 feet in the air.

We need that kind of effort every game from Brazile. He's got the talent to potentially be a pro but his problem has always been consistency and effort on the defensive end.

That all being said when you take away guys and now he's playing well it comes down to some guys just don't "mesh" with others. When you have these teams full of thrown together rosters you just don't know what you are going to get from year to year or how long it may take to gel. I think Pope was crying about wanting to go to 40 game schedules due to the modern realities of college basketball....feels that would be a better way to judge basketball programs for the tournament. Potentially but why not play fewer rent-a-wins in the early season?
