Your Arkansas Razorbacks get back to SEC play taking on Georgia for a three game series starting Friday at 5:00PM. Game 2 will be at 3:00PM Saturday with the series wrapping up on Sunday at 12:00. We need this series as we have a brutal schedule remaining, with games against eATMe, Florida, Texass, LSU, and Tennessee with a few non conference games scattered in between. All of the games against Georgia will be on the SECN+ and ESPN app. Georgia leads the nation in HRs with 87. The only good thing about Georgia is that years ago, one of their cheerleaders' boyfriends posted some nudes of her on the internet. As usual, GO HOGS!

So this weekend the FL vs Mizz series gets a TV slot and our series with UGA does not. Some people are idiots.

Yeah, two top five teams and we are stuck on SECN+.

They set the TV schedule before the season starts except for the final weekend. Makes no sense that they can't flex some games by midseason.
The Lord wants you to put your foot on their balls and believe in it. 'Cuz that's what wins football games. Not jumping offsides like a bunch of wimps and faggots. I don't care what those pinkos over in Russia say. You want to be a loser? You go live in Russia. I'm a winner. I'm an American.

College baseball is probably not enough of a ratings get, or that much of a differential between good games and bad games, to flex over a whole conference season. It probably doesn't matter.

If they can change course in football, they sure as hell can for baseball.

That said, FL/Mizz was an awful choice in preseason.

Pig Benis

Our first game against Mizzou was supposed to be on SECN. I don't know why they would televise any of their games.

Oh I am sure they could. But unlike football, my point is the numbers probably aren't big enough for them to care.

That's fucking retarded.

Wonder if the contract calls for each team to be on x number of times for this sport y number of times for this sport, etc.

I think they view college baseball as a way to drive up their subscription/espn+ numbers.

So sometimes leaving the best teams on streaming may be strategic on ESPN' part.

Unless something has changed recently, you can't get SEC Conference Games (in any sport) through an ESPN+ subscription.

The only way to see SEC conference games is through SEC Network or SEC Network+ which can only be access if it is part of your cable package.

I signed up for ESPN+ two years ago for SEC games and it didn't work.  I called the ESPN+ number and they confirmed what I wrote above.

Edit: Looks like that is still true.

The TV schedule comes out around January each year. I don't understand why they don't wait until the season starts to decide what games are on TV, or even do like football season and decide weekly which games to show.

Both good hitting teams so I wouldn't be surprised if neither team racks up a lot of runs this series.

Baseball is weird like that.

BASS

I'm worried we may lose this series.

I assume he would be at the top of our list to replace DVH when he retires. Hopefully he doesn't win a natty first like Vitello.

My hot take:  if ESPN gave college baseball 1/100th the promotion it doesn't women's basketball, baseball would get at least five times the ratings.
Perish peacefully in a warm environment.

I hope so, but I wouldn't be surprised if we lost a series or two with our stretch looming.

And you know what? It would be fine. The last few SEC champions did. The post season is what matters
