Bottom 9th.

PITCHING CHANGE:  Dylan Carter in for Jimenez.

Becker in at catcher for Helfrick.  Boles in RF for Maxwell.

Jackson strikes out looking.  1 out.

Ryan Black, pinch hitting for Obee, strikes out swinging.   2 outs.

Let's end this one with a steak dinner!

Branch pops out to Fraser.  No steak dinner, but 3 outs.

HOGS WIN 13-3!

Perish peacefully in a warm environment.

😂😂 I have to keep the anals of Woopig going. Your mom is a big part of that.

Great win!

Show-Me Hog

We should count this as one of the run rule games. 10 run lead at the end of an inning after the 7th.

We have such a solid line up. No holes, especially after Souza is injured.

That's fairly cold blooded

So do we apologize to Nate Thompson now or later?

Souza has been hitting for the last month.  He just started so fucking badly.

Never.

The criticism was warranted.  He's had multiple teams who batted 10th or worse in the league.
I'm on smoko, so leave me alone.

BleedinRed

Agree.  Souza was starting to iron it out.

Diggs is really the only player we have who can't seem to turn the corner.

when asked if souza was out for the weekend, dvh said "oh yeah, a lot longer than that".

and going back to his juco days, this was dvh's 1500th career win.

Honestly, it was the players more than Thompson. We just didn't have a full lineup of good hitters the last few years. Maybe 3, then the other 6 were not consistent.

We have bad ass hitters this year.

vegashog

makes no sense to shit on the guy for any past issues and not give him props for what has happened this season.

imo injuries to the pitching staff had as much to do with recent disappointing post seasons than anything else.

I think we didn't have good hitters and I think the strategy we used certainly didn't maximize what they had.  Swinging for the longball with guys that aren't good hitters means you get a binary result.  0 or 1.  With guys that are good at making contact, that strategy might work to maximize the run totals.  With guys that struggle to even make contact, it results in just shit all around and .100 averages.  I don't think it was necessarily a bad strategy.  It was just a bad strategy with the team we had and was dumb to not fit the strategy to the guys you have on the roster.

That said, I give him credit for this year in both recruiting the hitters and maximizing their output.

Wait until we skip the post season meltdown at the plate.
"That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar when his parents asked him to babysit."

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Once authored a post that critics claimed, "Was notaslibro level."

The difference this year is even if a couple guys get cold we have others that can pick up the slack. This is the deepest lineup I remember us ever having. Kinda the same for pitching. I'm not sure we have a 1st rounder type starter but very deep. Love this team.

We have 9 guys in the lineup that can hit, draw walks, and get on base.

Haven't had that since '21 and this teams hits better than them and even the '18 team.

And we have very good and deep pitching staff. Maybe not a first rounder like previous years, but I don't worry about anyone in our pen costing us if they have a bad inning, next up.

Now if we can just avoid more injuries. We can live with Souza and Peppi.
