Good!  Needs a bit of work to take it back to being THE basketball palace.

yruachek said any seat reductions would be in the 1500-2000 range.

said the number of scanned tickets for the biggest games this past season averaged around 17k.

I'm all for reducing seating further if they make each of the seats slightly larger.

The lowest bowl area seats are tiny.

My understanding is they are gonna do a reallocation of tickets like they did at Baum. With some lessons learned in mind.

Silence Of The Hams

So this wouldn't even begin for two years (march 2025) ?

Why do they always wait so long?

Shockingly cost will have increased significantly by then 🤷

They should have built a smaller 6 to 8k arena Barnhill replacement on the land they own out by Cato Springs, Razorback Road and I-49 or near the old Box Company land they sold off first and moved gymnastics and Volleyball to that and Barnhill would have been home of a season for a proper rework of BWA. After that, Barnhill could finally sleep ith the fishes.

Love the student section move.

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Like the football stadium, reallocation of tickets for a project like this will make a lot of people mad.  No doubt people that didn't give a whole lot to the Foundation but stuck with the program through the bad years improved their ticket status substantially.  Now that same donation isn't going to get those good seats any more.

There will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Can't blame them.  Loyalty with the Razorbacks is and will always be a one way street.

Note my seats at the SEC tournament. I've given at BM level for 25+ years.
I'm never getting post season tickets through the U of A ever again.

Me neither. When I was placed at the very top of the Superdome for the Sugar Bowl, while friends of mine got cheaper tickets on Stubhub that were close to the field, I vowed never again to do that.

DrMongoose

yes, but what did ya'll pay vs. those people on Stub Hub? depends on the game likely. Though I see now that the 69's friends got tickets cheaper.
There are no bad seats when the SECT is in Nashville but there sure as hell is when it's in ATL.

An official request for qualifications for architects and contractors is up on the U of A planning website.

Looks like it is pretty much a go.
