Wow.  That ins't ghey, like, at all.

All the comments are "who watches this shit".

One person commented that they went and it was an entertaining and nonstop for 3 OR 4 HOURS?  I guess there is no pitch clock.

The rules are great. They should adopt them in college ball. Also, some of these guys have actually made the majors.

rules:
Points, not runs: The team with the most runs in an inning gets a point. In the final inning, every run counts.
Two-hour time limit: No new inning can begin after 1 hour and 50 minutes.
No stepping out: Stepping out of the batter's box is an automatic strike.
No bunting: Bunting is prohibited and results in ejection.
Batters can steal first: A batter can attempt to steal first at any point during their at-bat, even on wild pitches or passed balls.
No walks: Instead of a walk, the hitter advances to any base they can reach, and every fielder (except the pitcher and catcher) must touch the ball.
No mound visits: No mound visits are allowed.
Fans catching foul balls: Foul balls caught by fans are outs.
Showdown tiebreaker: If the game is tied after two hours, a "showdown tiebreaker" is used where each team picks a pitcher and a hitter, and the first to reach a certain number of points wins, according to a Savannah Lodging description.
Golden Batter rule: One time per game, a team can bring any hitter in the lineup to bat.
Challenges: Teams can challenge umpire calls on fair/foul, out/not out, and caught/not caught.
Well, shit...

Are you? They have an upcoming date in St. Louis, and the whole stadium was sold out 6 months in advance. They even had a lottery to give an opportunity to buy tickets.

They're the hottest thing in baseball. Apparently they don't like it, but informally known as the Harlem Globetrotters of baseball. Except I think sometimes their other teams "win". There are 2 or 3 I think.

The Savanna Bananas have been a thing for years. They blew up in the last year or two and took their show on the road.

SwahiliSteve

The Rockies should quit mlb ball and just play banana ball at this point

Since we have season tickets with the O's, we were able to purchase tickets ahead of time for when they come to Camden Yards. I was able to get 4 tickets. I will be selling those and making a NICE profit. The best part is the parking pass I was able to get. THAT will go for more than the tickets.

I cannot fathom the kinds of fights that would break out if MLB had a rule where if a fan catches a foul then it's an out.

Thats what I was thinking.  :D

They have a pitcher from Jonesboro (Zach Phillips - looks like he played at Ole Miss).
The Party Animals have a player from Springdale (Blake Benson played at U of the Ozarks).
The umpire behind the plate is from Texarkana, TX.

Pretty sure that pitcher balked like 17 times.
"I got fired for using free speech" yea imagine getting killed over it

Sal Jacobo plays for the Party Animals.
He is from Rogers.  Good baseball player.
He started for us when my son was a senior.
If you can start at shortstop as a freshman at this level, you can play.

Grayson was ejected in the state playoffs against Fayetteville.  We were up on them 4-1 in the 4th inning.  James Bryan, an insurance guy in Fayetteville threw him out at the plate for making contact with catcher who was up the line.

Put left fielder in center and brought a kid off the bench in left.

A pop to shallow left and the new left fielder ran over Sal.  Broke his leg.

Tragic.

Sal is a good kid.

James Bryan is not.  He is the guy that thinks people come to see him umpire.

He is banned from ever calling another Rogers Baseball game.  He also was reassigned to another conference state tournament the next day after this fiasco.

I had a chance to get up close to him after the game and have a "discussion"

I don't get the appeal. Sorry.

Might as well watch the WWE

speaking of...has anyone watched the AEW? Jesus this is some entertaining terrible shit but way more entertaining than WWE. No one in the entire league has abs...all muffin tops and flabby and some horrible acting.

This is me.  It's fun to see highlights and whatnot on twatter, but two hours of it might make me commit a genocide.

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.
