I don't mind the nibbling, if we have pitchers who can actually get the corners and borderline strikes.  We throw a lot that aren't even close.  "Hey we got a guy with league-leading spin on his slider!" And he gets into 3-0 counts by throwing consecutive sliders obviously outside the zone.  Stuff like that... probably is Hobbs behind it.

I was listening to the game on the radio while driving home. Elson said our pitching had given up 75 home runs this year-- and they have hit 3 or 4 more since they said that.  Sure seems like a lot of home run balls.

Beginning of the year the pitching was solid, but we couldn't hit for shit. Then we had a stretch where we didn't do anything well. Now we are hitting, but can't pitch. Next phase is we pitch well and hit, right? Right?
