Went and got a bunch of .250 hitters (save for Ruiz) out of the portal and is shocked when they're .250 hitters here, and pinned his hopes on a true freshman at shortstop. 

Got zero arms (save for McElvain), tried to charge the hill of making Gaeckle a starter yet again, and thought that Fisher would miraculously morph from midweek guy into weekend starter.

Suddenly we're incredulous when we have a lineup that can't hit, a batting practice pitching staff, and a 9u travel ball defense.
