That simply isn't correct.  Calls are being overturned where the ball crosses the plate 1/4" outside the Ump's strike zone.  That ins't error.  That is a computer saying the zone is slightly smaller and the Ump is saying it is slightly bigger. 

I didn't get to watch any of the games yesterday, so all I have to go on is the MLB system which is absolutely the correct zone. 

Were those pitches crossing all the way out of the zone, or did it just appear that way?  With the MLB system if any part of the ball touches any part of the box, the pitch is a strike which is how it's supposed to be. 

If the system is programmed correctly, and as I stated earlier given the SEC's involvement I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't, the ABS will accurately call balls and strikes.  If it isn't programmed correctly, fix it and try again.

This isn't human vs machine.  This is a lack of spine.  Fire the very few umpires who can't or won't be proficient, consistent, and honest, and there's not a problem.  If this is the road we're going down instead, we might as well just do away with the stadiums while we're at it, and "play" the game in VR.  No thank you.  I'd rather boo the blind ump and get thrown out for profanity.

Because the umpire is still going to call the pitch. It'll be up to the batter/catcher to appeal that call. If a catcher steals a strike on a close pitch, the batter is less likely to appeal since they only get so many.
