Meh...McFadden was just a running back...a great one no doubt.  But great running backs come and go.  I've never seen a player like Jones.

DMac for me but Jones was fun to watch too.  Jones was elusive, DMac would truck a mf'er while still being elusive. Can't even imagine what Jones and DMac would be together. Option would be unstoppable.

Jones had speed no doubt but I don't remember him running thru contact too often. He had more long stride speed, DMac got to hi speed in a step or two. Different speed types

My vote is Matt Jones because he had the ball on every snap, and there was never any guessing what he was going to do with it.  McFadden was hampered by the general lack of a QB and an offense with the most obvious giveaway in football history when it was going to be a running play.  He's GOATed in Arkansas sports history for what he was able to accomplish despite that.

Lol. McFadden revolutioned football with the Wildcat. Faced 8 man boxes and still did work. Two time Heisman finalist and should've won at least one. Hell, he was probably an equivalent passer to Jones. Gave his all every snap. Knocked himself damn near unconscious against Alabama. Jones didn't give a fuck about football or getting better. The league was also not the same as what McFadden faced.

DMac would run around and hit every defender on the field before scoring. He hit the hole quicker than anyone I have ever seen. He would be on your backfield in a split second. Jones, as they say, looked like a cow running on ice, but was still electric. They are equal in my eyes.

Imagine if the UofA had actually pushed a DMac Housman campaign, if game day wasn't in town for the South Carolina game he probably doesn't go to NYC.

Jones was a freak but DMac made some very talented SEC defenses his bitch.
