I thought the timeout made sense. Otherwise the clock bleeds down toward 2:00. After the punter's previous shank, it was reasonable to think good field position is coming again. You could be fully in control near midfield, plenty of time and still one more timeout.

It just backfired with a great punt under the conditions.

Then the stupid downfield throw that was destined for disaster the whole way.
