It's not so much he failed the physical but they figured out the price was too steep.  He will be able to play this year but the stats on meniscus tears in the nfl is terrible.  50% of repairs fail in first year, 80% in 3.  He has a lot of mileage so his price in draft picks and $ makes zero sense.
