Everything the SEC ever does is set up in such a way as to benefit Alabama the most.  Everyone knows this.

I don't get why some throw out anywhere in Texas or Florida as realistic options for the SEC baseball tournament.  Same for St Louis or Kansas City.  All these locations are located so far outside of the central SEC school locations. 

Atlanta is a little too far East but is doable.  Memphis may be a little more centrally located but then why not just keep it in Alabama. 

I would imagine the simple answer is Hoover has hosted it forever and at this point it is a matter of convenience for the SEC office and the planning they have to do.  I doubt there is some grand conspiracy.

They rotate the SEC basketball tournament periodically.  This includes having it in St. Louis and Tampa in recent years, hardly central locations.  There is no reason why they couldn't do the same for baseball, even if it's just once every three or four years with Hoover being the anchor site. 

Not to mention that Nashville is a nice city, while Birmingham is a slightly larger version of Little Rock.  And every one of the ball parks I mentioned (plus all the MLB sites) are far nicer venues that Hoover Met.

WTF was the catcher thinking? he starts to tag him then doesn't and points to first.
not sure which team's fan was shouting there's 2 outs but he was right.
good job by the umps to be aware and not sure what the coach had beef with unless the first base umpire (who we don't see) signaled an out. I wonder if that is what happened.

the 2nd baseman is the only one who was aware but he couldn't find the ball.

Catcher put the ball in his back pocket and then no one could find it once they realized what was happening. Lol.

After seeing the previous batter where they muffed a popup, I don't feel so bad for them.  This wasn't  a single fuckup, it was multiple that cost them the game.

I'm loving some upsets tonight though. Coastal, Auburn and Twinkletoe Lite all lost. And Alabama is in a tussle with mighty Nicholls State, tied 2-2 in the 6th.

I just noticed they have a pretty bullshit easy regional with Nicholls, Troy and an overrated Boston College.

I'd say of all the SEC teams we have the toughest regional.  Maybe of all the regionals too.

Now they've stormed back...to tie it 5-5 heading into the stretch.


In other action, I'm watching George Mason throttle Northeastern, which has actually had a pretty good season and beat two or three other tournament teams.  None of which is that important other than to say Wake Forest may not be that overrated since they beat Mason 12-0 yesterday.

Oh, and that Wake's all rug field may actually be worse than the ones we see in the SEC.

Sorry, he's only 0-8. I gave him one too many. Which is something his boyfriend clearly did earlier this week.

If it works out where they go down in order the rest of the way, he will be up last in a bid for the Golden Sombrero in this game.
