I'd take Jones.  He had no issues with sending it downfield.  Green hesitates too much.
"That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar the first time his parents asked him to babysit."

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

it can't be stated enough how badly we whiffed on the d-line. we are finishing games with a true freshman and a guy from ut-permian basin who was supposed to be practice depth. a 385lb run stuffer who is having to play close to 70% of the snaps. same with ball.

watching other sec teams, it's like we are high school at the position compared to them.

I rewatched a good bit of the defense.  Gefferd can't get more than 3 feet from where he starts. He works his ass off, but he just can't do it. Rhodes looked so gassed and maybe even hurt. About the only thing I can fault Petrino for right now is he didn't work the portal hard enough for d lineman in the offseason.

Petrino was the OC. Why would he be responsible for recruiting d lineman? (Or did I miss the sarcasm)

Exactly. That's all I got for criticism.

If the guys he signed to play DL his first time around are any indication, they should have given him that responsibility this past offseason.
Perish peacefully in a warm environment.

I have been thinking about how bad our secondary is. And after thinking, I have come to the conclusion that maybe it is because our DL can't get any pass rush on the opposing QB. If you give the QB all day to throw, like we do most of the time, there are going to be receivers wide open at some point. Our DL is pathetic.
Well, shit...

That's no doubt a big part of it but also I feel we have virtually zero talent in the defensive backfield and worse yet very poor technique

Can't blame the DL when the DBs are playing 15 yards off the receiver and won't turn their head when the ball is in the air.

yeah, saying pressure on the qb has nothing to do with the secondary is questionable at best.

Even when the DL gets pressure the QB finds a wide open receiver.

How sad that you have to cheat to beat Arkansas.  :finger:

Eh, he'll just have to skip one meal for that amount.

That's when I knew we were back. When the #4 team in the country is faking injuries against you in the 4th quarter, you are back.
I really don't care, Margaret.

Good bit from Ford:

The preview focused on Texas A&M's best-in-the-nation passing downs defense. The Aggies entered the game leading the FBS in raw third down conversion percentage defense, having allowed just three third-down conversions through three SEC games.

What Petrino and this offense did to that passing downs defense is insane: 25 plays, 250 yards, 13 successes, and five explosives. Just a complete destruction in the very part of the game that Mike Elko prides himself on winning. That should make it obvious that Arkansas can score – with ease – on any defense in college football.

On the other hand, however... it was bad-versus-bad in Aggie passing down situations, and the Hogs just couldn't get it done. Texas A&M was successful on 9 of 18 passing downs and ended up 5 of 11 on third down and 3 of 3 on fourth down. As good as Arkansas' offense is, the defense is somehow worse.
