I've been around a 7A high school football team all summer and fall.  There were scouts from various places at several practices and games.  I never heard of anyone from the Razorbacks making an appearance until Petrino himself came to a home game after Pittman was fired.

Arkansas high school recruiting isn't going to save the day, but keeping the 4s and good 3s at home, and away from direct rivals, has to be better than making no effort at all.

I'm starting to feel a little less angry about the hire. I think RS is actually a really good guy and not lazy AF HC just trying to ride off in the sunset on the tritoon. Still hate Hunter at this point but his future here hinges on this hire so I'll play the wait and see game. There's no way he makes another one if this fails. So we have that. Just perusing the Memphis roster, and it's very intriguing to me. I rough counted 40-ish players from Alabama, Florida and Georgia (approx. 25 from GA).

I didn't look at it to see who may be high school or transfers, but it is intriguing where some of his or his staff's connections may be.

Also I presume some may be poachable.
