wonder if trevor jackson sticks around. kj put out a tweet that seemed to say he was staying and wilson i would guess will also.

maybe archer just likes utah. they have a good coach and the program is doing fine.

passed

Quote from: animal on Dec 02, 2025, 12:20 PMWhen Archer de-committed the other day and didn't wait for the Arkansas hire it pretty well told me he wasn't coming.

Potentially we'll... KJ Jackson, Trevor Jackson (FSU transfer), Grayson Wilson, so we'll probably add a freshman and maybe look at a transfer if/when someone makes a business decision.

Huh?  I thought Kane was never committed to us nor recruited because of size. I was actually hoping he would be if for no other reason than to solid support and $$.  The kid COULD be a player despite his size, and fans would probably love to see him actually brought it.

Shouldn't be overlooked that Utah wants him. They are one of the best "do more with less" programs in the country IMO.

One Quarter

I've seen Archer play in person and he was good but I wasn't blown away.  Greenwood murders the 6A, making it somewhat hard to evaluate the QB.  He would be well behind KJ as a freshman and there are better QBs considering Arkansas from the next class.  I'd say we should wish him all the best at Utah.

Isn't Utah on the schedule. He'll have a career day against us.

Braxton Lindsey from Rogers is headed to BYU.  No idea why other than $.
He needs to be convinced to consider Fayetteville.

Wish Jeff Regan would be considered.  He isn't huge, but is as good as we have seen in Rogers for years.  He is headed to Air Force. He has started for 3 years.  Last 2 were at QB. Here are his stats the last 2 years, and consider he didn't play the 2nd half in many games.

Threw for 5053 yards and 65 TDS

Ran for 3603 and 67 TDS.

Caught 7 TDS

Returned 2 kicks for TDS.

He scored 141 touchdowns the last 2 years.

Kid can run like crazy.

So, they kid has averaged ~5 TDs per game over the past two seasons?  That's crazy!

HTL

It was more fun leaving bags of cash underneath a bridge or in the HDN years where after a good game players would have 100's stuffed in their shoes in their lockers.

Barton Fink

And we get penalized for paying too much for players that actually worked.

Quote from: Feral on Dec 02, 2025, 12:41 PMWhat's the deal with Archer? Did he just stop growing and schools backed off?

Wasn't he being recruited by everyone under the sun years ago?

I've heard he's really not as good as people think.

I'd like to see him catch the ball for the Hogs.

Also funner when we had some sanctimonious measure that "we're doing things the right way" unlike those other programs that keep winning all the time. We can't fall back on that now, the illusions are gone and the only thing that remains is incompetence.

Whew!  I am glad what remains is something we are actually good at.  Gives us that fighting chance.

Agree.  Those number must include his sophomore season.
