She's 41 years old, she qualified, they couldn't "stop" her. Her pole got caught in the gate, not sure her knee had anything to with that. Her times were great before the crash.

And it's my understanding there was no "alternate" to take her place. It's not like gymnastics.

I watched coed Biathlon this morning. Only during the Olympics would that make any sense.

The Italian team won silver. But if they took into account how much their female shooter's butt Made It Move when she laid down for prone shooting, they would have won gold.
