Barton Fink

Like him or not, Rich Paul seems to be a fan of Acuff.

named 1st team all-american by ap.

first razorback since moncrief to make the 1st team.

at least he's getting the recognition he deserves.  the normal arkansas thing to happen would to be ignored or worse, belittled, by the east coast biased press.

Spurrier didn't vote for him at all.

Was pondering this the other day. Has Acuff surpassed DMac as the greatest #5? I mean he's had one of the best seasons of any athlete across all sports.

He's certainly made it an easy sell for us to just retire the number 5 in all sports.

Lightning struck twice with that number.

We've been pretty blessed with that number...McFadden, Acuff, Pompey...the list goes on.

Hopefully the transition of power is passed to Pompey once the hoops season ends.

Doc Hogaday

I may be misremembering but, even though it wasn't his player, I'm pretty sure Petrino told his team nobody was wearing #5 while he was coaching. Then Coach Cheeseburger let Rakeem wear it and Sam let Rocket wear it.

Also, I would argue #10 has been our most blessed in basketball. Both Brewers, Day, Gafford, Jaylin Williams...who am I missing?

Believe Portis wore 10 also.

10 has been a great number for us in hoops.

Doc Hogaday

He absolutely did. Can't believe I forgot that one.
