Quote from: animal on Mar 17, 2026, 11:46 AMDid you sleep the day St. Peters or whoever the fuck it was that beat Cal's Kentucky team a few years back? Anybody can beat anybody in this tournament. However with the maturation of NIL I anticipate more chalk because the major programs will have adjusted and they've got the talent and the age. Where as in the past it would have been talent but not necessarily age and maturity for the "moment". The impact of mid-majors in this tournament may ultimately be negated by having to go against teams full of semi-pro's and future NBA players.

The biggest change is paid players and age.

I didn't say they couldn't beat us.  I just said they don't do much complex.  They ain't 1990s Princeton.

and my bracket is mostly chalk the first 2 rounds.  i have kentucky and miami losing and no other upsets in the first round.  because of exactly what you said.  now, i do have arkansas going all the way and duke is the only 1 seed to make the final four.  i know i'm crazy for picking us to win it, but i believe we have a chance.  and it would suck to win it and not have had that belief and hope when filling out that bracket.

Duke has guard injuries but ok. I meticulously tweaked my bracket and will kick your ass
Yep. I'm not trying to be a dick about it. It could have lived. It didn't. Not by my choice. -Elvis

If they go to meet Richmond on the other side of the screen, they'll find him at the rim.

so after watching some talking heads explaining hawaii's defense, the goal, in theory, is to limit assists. they are 3rd in d1 in allowing the least number of assists per game. no collapsing in the paint and giving up lobs or kickouts. that's the theory anyways.

we could be seeing some clear out, iso ball on thursday.

I love how there's a certain guy individual on this board who always flies in every year at March Madness and all of a sudden knows everything about college basketball.

Anyone else have Arkansas in their final four?  I don't think that makes me a biased homer or anything.
"That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar the first time his parents asked him to babysit."

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

Once authored a post that critics claimed, "Was notaslibro level."

Quote from: SwahiliSteve on Mar 17, 2026, 08:42 AMoh you can't travel to Portland oh no! Why? How is any harder to travel to Portland than somewhere else? You can leave LR at 6am and be in Portland by 10am. Plus they are the hours behind so you gain time

Not necessarily the time it takes to get there, but certainly cost prohibitive for a lot of hog fans to travel to en masse.

If you don't think being a 4 seed and having to travel 2000 miles, isnt a bit of a screw job by the committee, I don't know what to tell ya. Especially when there are several locations within driving distance and/or much cheaper direct flights.

I wonder how Chuck feels about the current state of college athletics?

Show-Me Hog

Listening to Chuck and Dicky V talk about everything but the game is ok for awhile but ultimately it's vintage Bill Walton. There's a game going on my guys.

They have plenty of time to talk between made baskets.

That's what I meant with my post above yours. The main guy finally said to them, "Uhhh, you know we have a game going on here guys." Chuck carried on for 3 commercials about Nil, the NCAA, and how he weighed 295 lbs as a rookie in the league.
