We've been the beneficiary of some brackets that setup wonderfully for us to get to the SWEET 16 but also there's been a few salty teams like High Point. They are probably comparable to that Oral Roberts team we had to play a few years back.

Which raises the question-- why doesn't Calipari play Sealy more when he has a chance?  He always says it is his fault the guy hasn't played more.

No kidding! It's freaking hard to make it to the Sweet 16 5 out of the last 6 years.

I see everyone talk about our lack of defense.  And it's true, but you guys realize this is a strategy don't you?  Since we lost Knox and since the Alabama game where we lost because we fouled out too many players, we have seriously avoided fouling people, particularly in the first half.  We let guys get to the rim and if we contest at all it is in a way so as not to foul.  Then if we aren't in foul trouble you see it tighten up a bit in the last five minutes or so and suddenly things get contested a bit more and we get a block, a steal or two, and they miss shots they've been making all night.

We are good enough offensively to take some punches and stay in the game.  But we have to keep our guys on the floor.

You are 100% correct. We can't afford to be an aggressive defensive team with a 6/7 man roster. It would risk taking key players out of the game.

Acuff gets a bad rep on defense. I don't think he's a great defender but I think he's better than he shows for that very reason.

Not good but he does have the 6th best recruiting class in the country with three 5 stars.
