Ok.

Maybe we can appeal the NCAA to change the rule to allow the offense to plant a receiver in the end zone before the snap.

I mean, Taylen would mess it up, but still.

Well they're definitely not the French (toast).

For the uninitiated, like myself, in the game for men with no arms, this is a short read on a couple of opinions of how FIFA will probably handle it.

Cliff notes: It's unlikely it gets overturned.

Cuz that's 100% the same thing.   ::)

I love watching soccer... highlights. With stoppage time, they played 100 minutes of which 15:27 minutes had some excitement.

So I saw something where this ref has been accused a couple of times prior of "match fixing" and handing out irregular red cards. Hmm.

The same people demanding everyone embrace your beliefs, have zero tolerance and condemn another for embracing theirs.  Oh, the irony.

And we took care of that shit by saying fuck it, played good defense, and then scored shorthanded for sugar on top.

They are better than us, but have been underperforming. However, without Balogun, it's going to be difficult. Pepi or Weah are both big drop-offs.
I need help and I know it.

You said you understood, but I'm not sure you do.

All sports have lines and/or confined spaces. This is merely another one, with an important purpose.

I understand the rule.  I understand why you and the majority of the soccer world thinks it a necessary rule.  I think it's stupid rule in CERTAIN SITUATIINS and I think it could be tweaked to increase scoring opportunity while not also fundamentally ruining the sport as it's played now.  I don't know why that would be a controversial topic of conversation.

Praise be to alah there isn't a similar rule in basketball.

Edit: one last thing, sports rules are tweaked, added, deleted all the time.  See college football kickoffs as exhibit A.

Good, but mostly long in the tooth.  Many of their stars are in the early to mid-30's.  Tielmans, who got the PK yesterday is 29, and one of the better players.  He plays for Aston Villa in the Premier League, and De Bruyna plays for Man City.  Lukaku used to play for Everton (and others), and is now at AC Milan.  Lukaku and De Bruyna are both around 35.

I think we have a very good shot against them.  I really enjoy our style of play, which is a lot more vertical.  I think we're light years better than we were in the last World Cup.

I'd love to see how many goals have been scored offsides. Seems like a ton.

HOGSRUNWILD

We should start a brawl if it looks like things aren't going our way.  As a Nation, might not be good at "Futbol", but we are really fucking good at violence.

Show-Me Hog

Offsides takes away a Ronaldo goal.

I think the problem for the casual fan is that goals are SO RARE, for everyone to get all excited about a once in a blue moon occurrence, that it seems ticky tacky to take it away because the offensive player was 1 toe past the defensive player. They need to find a way to blow the play dead for offsides so we don't get all excited about a goal in the first place.

Average college/NFL football games take over 3 hours, during only 11-15 minutes of which is the ball actually in play for any excitement to even be possible.  I love both sports.

Holy shit x2

See that's just bullshit.

It feels like Auburn v Arkansas on various replays.
