College football is full of flash in the pan "The next big thing" coaches.  They just don't do dynasties like Saban.  Pete Carroll could have if he hadn't gotten in trouble with the NCAA.  Kirby could still do it, and I think Georgia would have won it all last year if Bama hadn't knocked them out of the Playoff in the SECCG. 

Dabo took over when 9-wins was a great season for Clemson, won two National Championships, and now fans are wishing they could win even 9 games before a bowl again... even though they won 11 just two seasons ago. 

Seeing Saban and Brady do their thing in the same decade has fucked up expectations for the poor fans that think their team is championship-caliber.  In that weird regard we're really the lucky ones to know better 

Brian Kelly will be fine at LSU.  They're working through the loss of one of the program's best QBs.  I still think he's smart enough to fall into the trap of bringing in a Kendall Briles/Garrett Riley type OC that calls cool-looking plays but can't scheme a game.  I didn't think Lincoln Riley could get his team up for that game but maybe he's finally gotten over the hump. 

If BK can only give the tip, then we're the one blowing our load once we get touched through our boxers.  Meanwhile Kirby Smart is only giving half-shaft and still leaving them shaking.
