I think some if not all of those left because of the tone of the board.  It seems like we as a group have gotten less misogynistic over the last several years, with some exceptions obviously.  I mean, we still have TOPIWLTFT, but Charlie and others participated in that in their own way, so I don't think it was the main issue. 

Also, message boards are the last refuge of the old guy (or the young guys with old souls).  Once Facebook became a thing for older people we lost most of the opportunity for bringing in ladies over here.

Dirk - without even knowing anything more than what you could read in the open and public responses to their posts, you can tell that most of these women got creeped out by the general creepiness of certain posters here... on top of the general weird ass shift to full on crazy town of various "isms".

That's pretty much what I was trying to say. 

We were at a point where anytime someone posted about a women's sports event, someone chimed in with "I'd hit it."  I'm sure you and I were guilty of it then at times as well, so I'm not casting stones.  Losing Charlie in particular was kind of a wake up call for me to tone it down.  You have to expect and accept a little bit of locker room talk when hanging out with a bunch of guys talking sports, but I agree it went over the line for a long time.  Like I said above, I think it has gotten much better here in that regard, but unfortunately it's likely too late for any of those women to want to give it a second look.  It's definitely an area where we need to strive to be better.

She was a young lady who was a frequent flyer in the detention thread. She had suffered a terrible accident that left her unable to not break the law.

I mean let's be honest nobody really wants to watch or invest time in most women's sports. I will say the crass discussions here run off the women's. Calling people cunts, whores ect went on for a while and was rampant a while back. Elvis allowed it to continue. I don't think the abortion Thread won over any new posters either

I never noticed that dude in UNC gear. At an LSU @ Arkansas football game and talking shit? THAT is a weird dude. He risked getting a beat-down from both LSU and Arkansas fans that day!
