Quote from: DRYANKNPULL on Mar 13, 2023, 11:32 AMI think it's important to have the p&r board to keep it out of the razorback discussions. Historically, woopiggers seem to be the type that aren't easily offended or get their feelings hurt easily. For those that struggle with that, it seems it should be very easy not to click that board.

The main way to enforce that is by the members. I think most people are on board with keeping it separate.

Gawd, I hate posters slipping in political shit outside P&R.  It didn't hurt my feelings, it was more that feeling you get when someone blatantly ignores the rules of polite society.  Like farting during an eulogy.  There is a time and a place for everything.

It's just the culture these days. Everything is politic. You have to make a conscious effort not to veer into politics in everyday conversation. I think it started to gain steam with Obama and the then left went defcon 5 with Trump. The left literally made political purity a condition of entry into many social and economic circles. So of course the right got tired of being called Nazis and went down the same path with the toxic messaging. However I find that leftist mantra way more dangerous and unpalatable.

My opinions are all over the map so depending on the crowd I'm a cuck liberal or a maga lover.

Careful man there's a beverage here

This seems like one of the biggest complaints. I think the best way to deal with it is for everybody to call the post out and tell them to take it to p&r. If you see somebody call a poster out for it, back them up. If we all stay consistent with it, it should be less and less of a problem.

I am bad about cracking politically not presently correct jokes outside of the P&R and I pledge put the hammer down on anyone else I see doing it.

Quote from: Usafhawg on Mar 12, 2023, 04:26 PMI asked him why keep the domain/name if he had lost interest. His reply:

Well. Because it's mine. I tried to pass it off. Now everything but the domain is lost. It has no value other than sentimental to me. I'm sure something in the political post ired you. I don't care. It's factual

This response of his is very disappointing. Somehow he feels that being uncharitable is justified. His emotions have taken over his thinking. Maybe after a "cooling-off period" his mind will change. Of course, people have the right to be angry about things. But, when we can prevent our anger from manifesting itself into spiteful actions and retribution, we demonstrate the better angels of our nature.

Hog fans view LSU with an emotional fire that was once reserved for the Texas teams back when Arkansas was their rival in the Southwest Conference. Once the Tea Sip Texas team and OK join the SEC, do you suppose that Razorback fans will then focus their energy back on Texas, and thus take some of that focus away from LSU?

The "hate" should be re-directed from LSU to Texas, like in the old days. And while I'm on this topic, both LSU and Arkansas REALLY hate Texas A&M.

LSU and Arkansas will no longer be "permanent" opponents in the re-alignment. Could a possible "alliance" be forged between LSU and Arkansas, as we both direct our hate towards those Texas teams? I dislike Texas and Texas A&M, and, all LSU fans share my view on this topic.

Once Texas, Oklahoma and Texas A&M are all in the SEC, I don't think that LSU will have much hate left over to direct towards the Razorbacks. OK and the Texas teams are going to get all of our hate, IMHO. There won't be any left over for Arkansas.
