Wow when did they start awarding wins on yards per game?  One stat matters: points.  We fail miserably at that. 

We also suck at turnovers, and penalties, and dumb decisions.

The Hogs are 7th in the league in PPG.  While it could be better, we don't "fail miserably" at PPG.

We are -2 in turnovers (7 takeaways vs 9 give away).  Not great, but not horrible.  Sam is right though, we play clean in the two loses and we are 6-0.

Can't really think of any dumb descisons that the players have made.  I can think of a ton of plays that the QB hasn't made because he is a slow thinker.  Those are two different things in my book.

You're right about the reason.  My point is that the stats should converge at some point.  If you're able to rack up the yardage, at some point that should start translating into points.

He is a bad coach.  The two inexcusable losses we have this year show it.  You think about how different we would feel and where this program would be if Sam and his teams didn't piss down their legs in nearly every close game.  Gosh, this schedule is a favorable as we will ever see.  We have Tennessee, LSU, Ole Miss, and Texas all at home and we pissed away a chance at greatness.  Man that OSU loss is looking really bad right now.

From what I've seen, he looks for "unexpected" food places a lot of the time.  Wasn't real impressed with what I saw of the Little Rock episode.  He writes for a few magazines, and I believe is employed (or was) by the University of Mississippi.  He's created the reputation for the "Oxford food scene" out of thin air, and lots of gushing articles. 

If someone opens a non-chain place in town, he makes sure it gets more press than it deserves.  I recall a Southern Living article that came cross my feed about a "craft cocktail bar" in Oxford a few years ago, which was a good ten years behind most other college towns having similar places.  But it was just so special and so incredible to have a place like that in Oxford.  I was like, "motherfucker there's four craft-cocktail places better than that in Fayetteville and have been for ten years".

He's mostly a bullshitter, and a great example of the try-hard weirdness of Ole Miss in general.
