Bane has had a shitty year.  According to Sportstalk we haven't beaten a Western Conf playoff team since Jan 30.  We've beaten up on the shitty teams to make our record better than what our team is.

Guys like Jordan wanted great coaching...LeBron hasn't really had a Phil Jackson to lean on. Is it fair to say that LeBron never really made any head coaches "stars"? If that's the case what does that say about him? I think I know the answer. However I'll also note that I agree for the vast majority coaching in the NBA is really pretty damn overrated. If coaching really meant something Greg Popovich would have more rings than any man alive.

I think the Miami coach may be the closest example but that was back when they had Bosh and Wade.

To Spoelstra's credit he's been doing well without those three. Bron on the other hand hasn't won a title without having more all-stars around him. I'd have to put some thought into comparing his supporting cast vs. Pippen, Rodman, and whoever else on those Bulls squads.

I agree that Spoelstra is a top-tier coach for what is left around the NBA. I wondered if he was just a puppet for Riley back when they had the Big 3 but he has proven his mettle in the years since.

I'm not getting into another Lebron vs Jordan debate on here, but the fact is simply that he does have a higher basketball IQ than anyone you can find on this planet to coach him. Same with Jokic. And that can be a problem for team chemistry.

I don't know much about Mitch Johnson other than he's been w/ Pop for years. San Antonio is a good job w/ lots of young talent. Wemby, Fox, Castle, Vassell, K. Johnson, and Sochan. CP3 is an old and I'm not sure if he's planning on sticking around another year but he started all 82 games this year and played well. They could stand to get rid of an aging Harrison Barnes and his stupid contract. And they have 2 lottery picks in a pretty deep draft this year. If Wemby and Fox stay healthy they will have a big bounce back in the years to come.
