How is it we have guys that haven't come anywhere close to reaching their potential, like Walsh, that are about to bounce to the NBA after only a year, but Gonzaga has Timmmmayy on the team? Why do other teams keep their NBA prospects for more than a year and ours are as good as gone?

because our kids prob have come from more meager means than Timmay and want that money now and don't give af about getting an actual degree

UConn is not the third best team of the remaining 16. I think the world is way over valuing them and I'm not sure why.

Is Timmmmmayy really a top NBA prospect?  To be fair, I don't watch the NBA, but I don't see him as being a star at the next level.

imagine that, ESPN/ESPN employee trying to draw attention during the rare event they don't televise!!

But to play the game - are we reseeding based on the 2 tournament games or the entire season to this point?
since they don't reseed, what the frick is the point?
win and advance.
Something I think Bilas, like a lot of ESPN talking heads, get caught up in being a persona than a person of knowledge.

Bilas picked Arizona to win it all, so we know how good his analysis and predictions are.

timme went to the combine last year and was told he wasn't getting drafted. it's why he came back this season. he'll be a late 2nd or go undrafted.

he's a good college player but his game doesn't translate. remember the guy from iowa a couple of years ago? same type of deal.

Well, they beat Bama 82-67 in November and Iowa St a few days before.  They beat Florida with Caselton by 21.  They split games with Creighton and Marquette (actually 1-2 aginst them with a loss in the tourney). They did lose twice to Xavier.
They were #1 in the country after starting 14-0 but then lost to Xavier and 6 of their next 8 games in January.  (seems familiar...)

They are in the top 20 in KenPom rankings with the 3rd most efficient offense and 14th defense (We are 50 and 15 in those categories, Bama is 18 and 3, Tennessee 50 and 1, Houston 9 and 4 by comparison)

They didn't look very athletic in the game against St Mary's but they can shoot and have 2 quality bigs.  We will have our hands full and I'm glad to hear them getting all the accolades.  Our team hopefully reads about all those high rankings and didn't really watch the St Marys game.
Oak Grove in the house.

He's a basketball analyst. That's what he gets paid to do. The biggest event of the year in basketball is going on.  He has to talk about something.  I think his view of the remaining 16 teams is interesting although I don't necessarily agree with it  all.

essentially he lacks athleticism and just quickness that you need in the NBA. He's also a sub par free throw shooter. He's not ahthoetic enough or tall enough to be a center and he's not skilled enough to play on perimeter. He's got a degree in sport management so he's not gonna be doing too bad

Still if he was a foreigner they'd be all up on him. Well maybe not now since there have been dozens and dozens of flops from Europe in the last several years.

his three point shooting is atrocious. He shot 17 out of 74...he'd be even worse in the nba. Plus he's too small. Timmay will be someone's agent

You mean Cockburn from Illinois? Yeah he's off playing in Japan. I didn't even know they had a professional basketball league.

national player of the year in 2021, drafted #52 and has been playing on two way contracts in the nba. cockburn is another good example.

I noticed on TNT Kenny Smith referred to him as COCK BURN and someone quickly corrected him that it was "COL BURN"...I still don't know how the k is silent.
