The 4th and 3 pass to Joe Adams against LSU in 2010 was my favorite play by Mallet.  Brilliant call, perfectly executed.

The pass on the first drive in the Sugar Bowl right straight over the middle that was dropped or perhaps very slightly overthrown would have made that game different, in my opinion.  Was that Adams or Jarius Wright or someone else?
Apparently retarded member of the "fucking old people" crowd as defined by Swahili Steve.

The first game I ever took my daughter to was Vanderbilt in 2010. Mallett threw for a then school record of 409 yards.

I bought the tickets from DRYANKNPULL. She LOVED the atmosphere and had a great time. Wonderful memories.
I'm sorry Elvis......for all of it.

What I loved about watching Ryan Mallett play, besides the epic arm and feathery touch deep balls, was his swagger. No fear. He came to whoop your ass and then tell you about it later, unapologetically.

He and Bobby Petrino were a great combination. Their years were the most fun I've had watching Razorback football as an adult. They didn't top the great teams and players of the '60's, but I was just a kid then.

That pass, and play call, to Joe Adams to start the Sugar Bowl was a thing of beauty, perfection. Sure wish Joe would've caught it. I seem to recall when Ryan was quarterbacking, we got up to #3 in the nation. Game days in Fayetteville were lit.

Thanks for the memories and rest in peace Ryan Mallett.

Pretty much exactly this, except I wasn't born until '77.  I'll also always remember the way he jawed with the refs.  I don't know what he was saying, but it seems like on multiple occasions he got them openly cracking up.

Quote from: mde114 on Jun 27, 2023, 08:06 PMThat Cobi Hamilton TD at the end of the first half vs LSU might be my favorite Razorback play of all time.

Damn shame.

And also this.  So much beauty in this play.  Not just the pass and score, but seeing LSU defenders look silly, and the dumbass look on Miles' face.

Petrino and Mallett were the best Coach/QB combo the Hogs have ever had.  Prove me wrong.

It seems like they really trusted each other.  A perfect match, really.

This hits as hard as when me and the wife heard about Burls being killed in a car wreck. Sad news. And only 35.
Well, shit...

You're not wrong.  Your post never will be wrong.  In those two amazing years, every team we lost to was either #1 at that time or #1 at some point in that season.

I remember that Auburn game when Ryan went down on a dirty play, Tyler Wilson came in and lit Auburn's defense up for awhile.  Watching Tyler throw the ball around like he did and then realizing he was only our second-best QB... Ryan was just that much of a baller.  SEC blatantly rigging the games was the only thing that could hold us back, minus that fucking Alabama game.  If 2010 is the peak of Arkansas football in my lifetime, that season will never not make me smile.  Dude threw us back onto the map.

Just damn. All-time Hog for sure.

If anyone knows the family, I got a suggestion for the epitaph:

St. Peter got a scantron for RMFM.
I can't so much as drink a damn glass of water around a midget or a piece of antique furniture.

Damn. This absolutely sucks. Mallett was my favorite Hog QB of all time.

RIP.

That ball was dropped. Mallet couldn't have walked 35 yards down the field and handed it to Adams any better than he threw it. Adams just dropped it.

I agree, if Adams catches that ball, I think we blow them out.

Seems like Adams dropped several TD passes in that game.  Definitely should have been a blow out.

Snorts

I remember him dropping deep balls into the receivers hands like it was nothing.  Best touch on the deep ball I've ever seen.

RIP.

Just tuned in to listen to Bobby. They mentioned Hoot had been on earlier in the program. Did anybody catch that? Why would you have him on? What could he possibly have to say?
