Well if you think about it. Our perimeter defense this past season wasn't nearly as good as the hype mainly because freshman things. These are older guys looking to get that league shot so I figure the buy-in to do whatever it takes will be high.

yea but with his connections I'd bet he has a better feel for where a kid projects than most.
I think it's smart for the kids to get the feedback.
May 31st is the deadline to withdraw while the portal closes April 30.

This is the last year prospects can participate in the combine and retain eligibility, too.

ESPN reports that starting in 2024, all invited players will be required to attend and participate in the NBA draft combine or be ineligible to be drafted until the "first subsequent draft for which the player attends and fully participates." It's part of the new collective bargaining agreement between the NBA and the players' union, which could limit the overall number of players willing to test the draft waters.

This is a great observation.  Wouldn't Muss be the ideal guy to tell our players where they project at the next level?  Why do they need to declare for the draft to "test the waters"?

He was just on one of the Buzz shows yesterday and gave a great interview. Talked about his plans for the offseason and next year...and how he was ready to compete with the incoming transfers. Seems like a genuine guy. Leads me to believe Muss got somebody new in the portal yesterday.
