However, I've never paid attention to baseball coaching. Does the fact that Nate Thompson is still employed by the U of A mean that we are stuck with him for next season?

Agreed.  It was obvious even to observers that he was hurt in some way.  Players don't just forget how to hit in year three. 

It's probably a sad commentary on the state of the rest of our outfield.  We didn't have anyone better than a guy with a bum wing. 

That's three times we've had a season at least partially derailed by a key player tearing a labrum in-season (Goodheart 2019, Stovall last year, Diggs this year).
