How was Pantera?

I really hate Pantera, and this Fauxtera is just a Phil Anselmo vanity project to usurp the name and make extra coin.  He was a dick onstage.  So Metallica in their old age is kid and family friendly. My son is a huge fan so we had three generations there with my granddaughter. A whole section of the lower bowl set aside for kids and parents. But not where we sat.  We had great tix about 20 rows up.    Not a cuss word out of Hetfield.  Anselmo spent 80% of his time spouting f and my bombs.  Pantera is just a gut pounding migraine.  Because it's Arlington I'd say a lot of the crowd was there for Pantera not Metallica.

Metallica knows how to entertain which is key to their remarkable longevity.  I think most folks going with little knowledge of their music would have had a great time. Stage work, pacing, lighting, video and performances were great.  One of the best shows I've ever seen and I'm not a huge fan.  Having been in the music biz and seeing their longevity and appeal to new young fans is remarkable to me. Every band I was a part of usually destroyed itself regardless of the talent.

My son is hardcore.  He went to both shows with a kidney stone.  He won the lottery to be in the snake pit last night.

Niners released the depth chart yesterday and #3 overall pick Trey Lance got to be in the room when he found out he was QB4 behind Brock Purdy, Sam Darnold, and Brandon Allen.  Edit, now it looks like revised charts show him at QB3 again.

Still, talk about a big ouch.

Kinda surprising. Cooper Rush is better than this dude. Maybe the "upside" is higher with Lance if you can get him to stop being a pussy.

I'm thinking Lance probably is that bad because why else would the Niners give up on him so fast? He's a qb on a rookie contract that they gave up a shitload for. Doesn't seem like the worst move to me if you're Dallas though.

jerry has to think he can get the guy turned around because there's too many cheaper options out there for a 3rd string qb.

Christian Watson must be a better WR than we all thought.  He made his college QB look so good in the Missouri Valley Conference that the QB got drafted #3 overall.

I'm actually surprised he went the UDFA route and made it this far through the preseason with how bad his hip was by the end of last season.

I thought he was done with football after the Ole Miss game.
