Skipper is a model for the importance of coaching and development. Only the Lions figured out how to utilize him as a 6th lineman and make him a Swiss Army knife.  Dallas certainly didn't.  This is the greatness of Dan Campbell as they understand that every slot on the 53 matters vs Jerry giving 3 players half the cap.

That's a great article about Skipper.  I don't know if any NFL team in recent memory makes a person want to "root" for them as an underdog like the Lions.   
If they win a Super Bowl this year Campbell ought to be named NFL coach of the millennium.
