It's honestly pretty remarkable how the Chiefs went from America's sweethearts those first couple of years when they were battling Brady's late Pats dynasty and then winning its first Super Bowl in almost 50 years and now they are almost universally hated by everyone but Chiefs fans.

Kind of reminds me of the Warriors in basketball. Everyone liked them when they started winning and battling LeBron's Cavs and won a title, and then they signed KD and everyone started hating them.

Steph and Mahomes are kind of similar.

If I were a coach of color and knew that I only got an interview to satisfy the Rooney rule and check a box for the NFL, I'd tell them to go fuck themselves.

That would be highly offensive to not be a legitimate target and just get toyed with.

It's also, especially this year, the relentless display of strange calls (or no-calls) by the refs that favor the Chiefs.  If they were just dominant then a lot of the anger would cease.  27-20, 26-25, 22-17, 17-10, 27-10, 30-24, 16-14, 30-27, 19-17, 19-17 wins with shady officiating moments in many of those... it just all gets old.

Which is sad because Mahomes and Reid are up there among the best QB/Coach combos ever.  Maybe THE best.
