espn crew this morning talking about falcons naming penix the starter with cousins eating up salary cap for the next 2 years because of the contract they gave him.  good luck unloading cousins, falcons going to end up eating dead cap if they do get a trade partner.  dumb organizations do dumb things. 

they also talked about the steelers..."pickett was a bust".  no he wasn't.  he was/is the exact same player we saw play at pittsburgh.  he peaked as a sophomore in college.

One of my favorite hogs (except he really pimped Sam to Hy) I really hate that the injuries have pushed him out of the game.  He's HoF caliber like Travis Frederick of Cowboys who had to retire young, so only tenure could keep him out. He's a brilliant center at calling protections combined with ballet feet and a serious mean streak. I am worried that it's more than physical injuries because he would have informed the lions prior to free agency and the draft.  Maybe he just couldn't get his mind in it during OTAs. 

A shame as a normal center should last til mid 30's or later.  Still he made $43 mil

I don't blame him. Just the normal wear and tear of being a lineman. Knicks, cuts, strawberries, bruises and just being sore all the time. I'd have quit long before now. I could live off of way less than 43mm.

Plus he has activities he loves, like fishing and I think also hunting to do.  Didn't he have a podcast or somewhere he posted videos of his outdoor activities?

Frank played 5541 snaps.  Gave up 6 sacks.  That alone should get him in the HoF.

He has a successful outdoors business and his knees are shot.  Detroit fans I know say he nearly retired the past two years but Dan gave him confidence on getting a ring.  Lions rebuilding after losing both coordinators.  Hate to see him retire but it's best for his health.  Centers also take more head k picks than other linemen.

red zone will no doubt be an add on. i've gotten the free previews and i think it's gone a bit downhill over the years.

except for local news in the mornings and sports, i honestly couldn't tell you when the last time i watched a network program. i'll be all over that app when it becomes available. $30/month for espn, the duce, espnu, secn, accn (meh),espnews, espn on abc, espn+, secn+, and espn3.
