I don't get the Kentucky hate by Arkansas fans.  Seems premature to try to make fun of where Kentucky is after 8 games.

Kentucky is 5-3 with losses to UNC @ home, Michigan State @ MSG, and @ Louisville.

Arkansas is 6-2 with losses to Duke in Chicago and @ Michigan State and a win at home against Louisville @ home. 

We could easily be 5-3 and they could easily be 6-2.

They are almost what we are, yet with probably four times the NIL expenditure and 100 times the hype.  And as others mention, every time we either lose to a great team or fail to beat a bad one by more than fifty points they show up online to shit talk us for taking their sloppy seconds.

I know Kentucky is one of those teams that always gets ranked higher based on name and tradition.  But anyone who watches even a little college basketball and understands the system Mark Pope has always run should have seen this shitshow coming.  He's basically Temu Nate Oats...fast pace and relying on lots of made three pointers.  They don't have any shooters on this team, and their bigs are mediocre at best. The latter might resolve itself once Jayden Quaintance comes back, but there's no guarantee that a guy coming off an ACL tear in 9 months is going to be able to contribute a whole lot. 

That said they'll probably hit 75% of their threes in Bud Walton and kick our asses.  But unless the name gets them a hell of a boost they're likely a bubble team at best.

Sorta. They got absolutely blown out by Michigan State, and trailed bigly against Louisville for most of the game. They also lost at home to UNC that got beat just as badly by Michigan State on a neutral floor.

I know this is just going back to moral victories, but our 2 losses are by 3 at Michigan State, and by 9 to a Duke team we were beating the majority of the 2nd half. While are records are close to the same, we haven't just layed down against good competition (ignore the Winthrop game).
