I wondered the same thing and googled. Apparently they are cousins. Darius Philon was the one we got when Bama ran out of spots to sign him. He was good for us.

There are lots of really stupid things about modern college sports. Flying from Chapel Hill, NC to Palo Alto, California for a weeknight conference basketball game has to be right up there.
