Is there anything that could stop the NCAA selection committee from simply viewing every game an ineligible player plays in as a forfeited loss?  If Alabama wants to get a local booster judge to give a TRO to let a pro player play fine- just view every game he plays in as a loss.  If Alabama ends up "3-15" in conference and misses all post season tournaments, it would probably make it not worth it for them or any other school.  Same thing for the college football playoff committee if a Mississippi judge gives Chambliss a TRO.  Could the schools successfully sue the NCAA for keeping them out?  This seems like a much easier solution than fighting in a courtroom in the shadows of that college's campus.

So the NCAA has to give Alabama a spot in the tourney? How is that enforceable? If they don't like how they're seeded is that also considered "punishment"? I don't think the NCAA has to declare all their Bediako games as losses. They simply don't invite them to the tournament.

I'm not sure how that would work.  If Alabama had a decent resume and wasn't allowed into the tournament I think they would probably sue and have a decent chance of winning.  If they're on the bubble which seems unlikely, it might work.

You could see some Alabama connected judge order the whole tournament postponed until the issue is resolved. 

This is a silly discussion though.   We all know that the NCAA isn't going to do a damn thing that might give them liability.

The NCAA may sack up on this particular issue.  Why?  I think one reason they have been so accommodating to state courts and the like in the past is their fear that the conferences would break away and form their own thing from the NCAA.  On this particular issue the conferences AND the NCAA seem pretty well aligned.  Eligibility for former professionals who declared for drafts is opposed by all concerned except for the guys trying to go back for one more pay day.  So, I think the NCAA may well ignore  this court if it loses and/or remove it to federal court and continue the fight there.

Any attorney can ask for a change of judge. Unless Alabama has some different rule.

Don't know if this one is a donor, but the original judge in the six figure club did recuse himself.
