You knew when our third baseman lost that foul in the sun that a  hit was coming up.

1-1 with 2 outs in the top of the 4th. Our 3rd baseman — who inexplicably isn't wearing sunglasses — loses a gimme foul ball in the sun which should have ends the half inning. 

Next pitch is ripped by OSU for an RBI double, and the next batter hits an RBI triple. Now 3-1.

We can't have nice things in any sport.

And why in the hell would a position player NOT wear shades on a day like this?

Not a huge fan of playing the outfield in with two outs unless there is a runner at second rather than third, slap hitter at the plate or not.

Fuck it, I'm gonna bleed this into the softball thread now.  We can't expect championships in the big 3 sports (now the big 4 since we're adding ladyballs to it) until we build a statue to honor the one championship coach we have had in my freaking lifetime.

It's not a hard curse to lift, as long as the boomers in charge are able to build Nolan a statue without trying to build one for Eddie Sutton as well.
