I would really like to see a list of all of the SEC schools that show the NIL budget for each school. Chuck's recent comments gave a figure of $13 million for the current Top 4 teams.

I would like to know how close to 13 million the rest of the SEC manages to budget.

Is this info anywhere? Thanks.

The talk track as I understand it is that Sam can't win because he doesn't have the funds to secure talent.  I suspect a broader issue is that people who might invest in an NIL fund aren't interested in contributing for a coach that can't find his ass with both hands.

That's almost 1980's SMU type money.

I guarantee you we have way more NIL money than Mizzou, MSU, BYU, etc.

We have less than aTm and Bama, no doubt.

If we were struggling to get over the top against the best teams and not losing to mid tier programs, I'd see addressing NIL as a major concern but coaching is our larger issue right now.

If we could win consistently I also see a NIL fund raising program being more successful.

Read the linked article on the formation of the Ole Miss NIL collective.  It is very interesting.

Unfortunately, it doesn't make it clear exactly where the funding is coming from.  I still think it is mainly individual donations rather than corporate.

Suppose this is true about NIL

It further enhances the idea that someone up there is holding out.

It's a much easier sale to say that we are short on cash and our losing is directly related to that and not at all the coaching staff.

Same goes for basketball...our roster construction seems weird from year to year. One year we are big tall and lanky the next we are small and weak as fuck. Can't defend smaller teams and can't defend bigger. No talent to speak of cries we didn't have the NIL to do better

IF college sports has 100% turned into the highest payroll when it used to be only 50% that...

And IF I am expected to support that payroll in order for my team to do well....

THEN peace out.
