Would not surprise me if KJ isn't receiving the offers he thought he would and he is now faced with staying and facing stiff competition for the starting job or leave and go to a low ranking D1 school or worse an D2 school.

I don't think he really ends up D2.  But I can see a program like New Mexico State before an Auburn or Wisconsin.  He surly isn't garnering interest from better programs than those two.
