BMFP approves. Your Razorback VB team adv to the Sweet 16 (now Elite 8!)

I know most of you pissant bitches don't give a rat's ass about women's sports but the Razorback Volleyball team just advanced to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA tournament last night for the first time since 1998. They beat Stephen F Austin Friday night 3-0 and played a helluva match with TCU last night, prevailing 3-1. This team is all heart and has tons of talent. Jill Gillen is arguably the BEST Arkansas VB player of all-time.

They have a HUGE challenge in the S16 though. Their nemesis Kentucky awaits on Thursday. This season, KY won at Lexington 3-2 then just spanked us 3-0 in Barnhill 2 weeks ago. KY has won at least 14 matches in a row against the Hogs. I could only find the records back to 2014.

That said, they're playing in Lincoln, NE on Thursday at 3:30 pm. It's on the U if you care to follow.

Big XII has beach volleyball, TCU apparently dominates.  Texas wanted to keep competing in the Big XII and conference said "no".  I think LSU has a team as well.

The NCAA Volleyball Tournament Selection Committee announced today it has eliminated Arkansas, due to its poor performance against Kentucky this season. The Lady Razorbacks won only two sets out of eight played. Kentucky will be given a bye into the next round against a more competitive opponent.

One of my colleagues is a huge Husker fan. He had their volleyball game on today when I got to work. Always talking about the Lady Huskers since their men's sports teams are teh suck. C'mon ladies don't let me down.
