Need Tygart to go at least 6 innings tomorrow. Gaeckle and I assume Willy Mac are prolly done for the weekend. I was impressed with Foutch

Quote from: Thin Red Swine on Mar 29, 2024, 10:30 PMI'm glad we survived that debacle of Gaeckle having to face White.

But I digress.

Braswell is a big liability for them in the field.

Great piece of hitting by White. Great series win. Let's find some brooms.

Different situation.

Great to win the series! Still have a plethora of arms for tomorrow.

I'm not sure they don't deserve to stay there. SEC is stacked this year

Yep. Still have Frank, Fisher, Wood, Bybee that have not pitched in this series yet. Willy Mac could also throw an inning if needed.

I think McEntire would get the 9th in a save situation.

It's awesome that Hewlett has a win and a save in this series and has only faced one LSU hitter.
Perish peacefully in a warm environment.

I knew Hewlett only faced one batter (twice) but didn't put together that he got a win and a save out of it. That's a future trivia question.

It's clear that we spend a lot of time...and probably money on analytics. I'm sure all SEC schools do, but we seem to be particularly good at it this year. DVH just keeps pushing the right buttons in different situations.

Also, I forget which LSU batter it was that Hewlett faced, but he should probably start working on lefty sliders, cause that's all he's gonna see for a few weeks.

I hope we never play Tommy White again after today. The guy is one of the more dangerous hitters I've ever seen.

He didn't even swing though the homer he had on Thursday and still powered it into the bullpen.

Now, in the field...that's another story.

They have some good hitters on their team. I have been really impressed with our pitching. We seem to be hitting spots. And our bats come alive when they need to. So far, so good. I think that as long as the injury bug doesn't hit us, we should go pretty far this year.
Well, shit...

We're -165 today. Let's sweep these bitches.
The Lord wants you to put your foot on their balls and believe in it. 'Cuz that's what wins football games. Not jumping offsides like a bunch of wimps and faggots. I don't care what those pinkos over in Russia say. You want to be a loser? You go live in Russia. I'm a winner. I'm an American.

I believe on Thurs night the announcers mentioned the we have one of the best analytics groups in the country. They said it was major league level.
I need help and I know it.

Part of me wants to complain about our lack of hitting/power. The rest tells me to STFU, we're 22-3.

Same here. But we seem to nickel and dime a team to death. I really like this team. I guess we will see as we go through the SEC.
Well, shit...

White with the homer.  Probably shouldn't let anyone throw to him going forward.

BleedinRed

Tygert comes back after the homer and strikes out the next three batters.

BleedinRed

Damn the Hawaiian is coming on!  Homerun to tie it at 1.

BleedinRed

2 out hit by white.  God it's nice having a catcher that can get a hit.

BleedinRed

Wow.  Diggs pops it up and the LSU shortstop with the circus catch in Shallow center.  Nice play by that guy.

I will try to pick up PBP.

Bottom of the second. Hogs with a runner on first and second, no outs.

Helfrick up. Flies out to right. J SLott takes third. 1 out. Runners at the corners.

Wilmsmeyer hits into a 6-3 DP. Ferk.

1-1 after 2.
Well, shit...

Top of the third.

Braswell leads off. HBP. Tygart still being Tygart.

Neal singles to right. Runners at first and second, no outs.

White (who homered in the first) hits into a 6-4-3 DP. McLaughlin has to tag the runner at first. 2 away.

Larson drives one over the right field wall. 3-1 LSWho.

Jones flies out to right.

LSU leads 3-1 mid 3.
Well, shit...

I missed that comment, but I believe it. It would be really interesting to hear the scouting reports from the analytics. The strategy of baseball is rarely talked about but it's really cool to hear guys who know what theyre doing talk about it.
