Doesn't matter, a bad pitch and a single up the middle are all it took for UALR to get a go-ahead runner across the plate.  5-4 good guys.

Edit:  Blake Simpson takes the next pitch for a 2-run homer over the right field wall.  That'll make it 7-4 UALR.

The host team does get to pick the opening day time slot. 

Van Horn always picks the early game for exactly the reason you state.
