Wade is a good regular season coach but hasn't done much in postseason play. He's just good enough to make me tolerate losing Muss.

Beard is the guy who would have been the upgrade.

It's being talked about elsewhere that HY tried to force a non-compete on Beard.  On the one hand I sort of get it, on the other it seems like HY has absolutely no idea how important this hire was.  Get fucking Beard on board before our program disintegrates.  If he wants to go to Kentucky in year or two, that means he did well and we're in a position to go get anothwr stud.  Or, we can fiddle fuck around, make a mediocre hire, and circle the damned drain for another half decade.

Wade would work but I just have feeling Tang would be a disaster.  Is that guy going to excite the NIL money?  I don't think so.  That was the thing about Beard.  Everyone would have agreed he was the best available and the excitement and the NIL money would have followed.

It really can't be overstated as to how big a fuck up this is.
