The irony is their fifth inning was vintage DVH small ball.

If ever we had a team built for small ball, this is it. But we don't play it.

This year was just a head scratching year for DVH.

Had holes all over the lineup, including two in the OF and revolving door of futility at DH, which is insane because those are the positions where you just want bats. It's not like last year where we had 2 automatic outs in Bolton and Rowland but had to eat it because of the defensive importance of their positions.

Yet we never seemed to steal, sac, hit and run, or anything. I was legit jealous when we played Kentucky because their style of ball masks hitting deficiencies and travels.

I will never, ever get my hopes up again for any Arkansas sport so these types of things don't hurt so bad.  Chaggy/Bert did that and while painful, it sure makes losses easier.

Sometimes home runs are a funny thing and kill momentum. You'd never say you wouldn't take one, but if Holt had hit a double into the gap we might've scored 4 or 5 runs.

And I say that after watching what happened when White did that very thing.
