I am actually thinking of going Arlington for the game?  Anybody else going?  I don't have tickets if anyone is trying to dump some.

Barton Fink

Yeah, we'll be there. Fun game and a great atmosphere. Especially when we win.

vegashog

i'd be shocked if it isn't the last southwest classic. both schools are pretty tired of it.

Third_down_draw

We went the first 5 or 6 games and lost interest in the atmosphere. 30 minute drive there, 1.5 hour drive back, $80+ for a shitty seat to watch us get our asses kicked again on the big screen in jerrah's crooked stadium.

I went in 2011 and haven't been back. Got out while the getting was good

I'm going to Dallas this weekend.  I don't have a ticket.

I'll bite the bullet this week and buy a ticket.

I am 4-0 w/ Bobby in Jerry World. I am not entertaining messing w/ that record.

I feel better knowing Petrino always took this game seriously by doing what he called Game Planning. It feels like one of those deals where if we win this one we're a bowl team. If we don't probably not. Ok Lite game would come back to bite us in the ass. We need this one for the Texas Bowl.

I don't drink the kool-aid on A&M looking lack luster...they always do in the early season. They tend to be one of those teams that will put together a sleepy 9 or 10 win season and be totally disappointed about it.

Louisiana Tech and Moo U are wins. If we can't beat an uninspired LSU team off a bye week after they play Ole Miss then something is very wrong. They also lost Perkins for the year and he terrorized us.

I think I had us at 6 wins including OSU, Moo State, and either Auburn or this game.  I thought Elko would have them playing better by now but I'm thinking this could very well be a win.  If we get the ball with 3 minutes to go in the half and 3 timeouts and just run the clock out I'll drive across the state to shit in Sam's yard.
"That's embarrassing.  Looks like Josh Duggar the first time his parents asked him to babysit."

For $7 mil I'll put a webcam in front of my shitter so I can answer fan questions while I drop the Longhorns off in College Station.

This is the last one.

Aggy comes to Fayetteville next year.

I understand that is what is on the schedule.  And I guess I believe that will happen.  But I wonder what Jerry is cooking up next.  He likes us having a game there.  I can see his money influencing Yurachek into a new deal-- maybe a two year contract with someone like TCU?

yes, we were owed that one by having to go to college station during the covid year. there was talk over the summer that it might get extended, but haven't heard anything about it since.

Extending this stupid game would be the most Arkansas thing ever. Aggies have wanted out for years. Can't see them agreeing to that.

It will be tough for them to put something together without buying out a shit ton of contracted games.

This is what our non-conference schedule looks like for the foreseeable future.

2025: Notre Dame
2026: @Utah
2027: Oklahoma State
2028: @Notre Dame
2029: Utah
2030: @Texas Tech
2031: Texas Tech
2032: @Oklahoma State
2033: Oklahoma State.

We also a tougher than normal NC opponent in Memphis in 2025 (in Memphis), 2026 and 2028.

The earliest I would think we could get in a Jerry World game without replacing a rent-a-win would be the 2030 Tech series.  Maybe they would be for it, and I could also see OSU being willing to move their last home-and-home down there.  Replacing one of the cupcake games off any of those 2025-2029 schedules with a marquee opponent in Dallas would pretty much doom our chances at bowl eligibility in most years.  Especially in the years where we have a tough NC opponent on the road.

Yes, but we have a way of making some rookie or back up have the game of his life.

That looks good, but as paranoid as I am, I can see Jerry trying to get one of those series moved to Arlington.

Let's hope someone has the balls to tell him to fuck off when he tries it.
