It's crazy how much talent is out there. There are several regionals I wouldn't feel comfortable in.

Some of these one seeds from the Big 10 may not be well prepared. Will be interesting to see how some of the 2 and 3 seed SEC teams do.

Updated today. They now have us opposite the Knoxville regional and bumped TCU to a 2 seed in Corvallis.

Also, how is he eligible for more? He pitched for UALR for 3 seasons and 1 season at UA Rich Mountain. This was all after Covid, so he doesn't have a Covid year.

JUCO years don't count anymore apparently.   

He led the nation in ERA in 2023 and throws 97.  Worth a look.  He was UALR's number one starter.

It was a valid question given his stats last year for sure. 

I doubt we're promising him a weekend starter role or anything more than just a chance to compete.  Worst case, he comes in and flames out in the fall, in which case Curry at UALR would likely take him back.  Best case Hobbs figures out how to get him back to the level where he beat out Skenes for the ERA title and we have a relatively inexpensive starter.
