Quote from: red death on Nov 13, 2024, 09:09 PMOkay Fland is good, not decent, happy?  Wagner sucks.  Aidoo and Davis have been bad due to injuries.

I like Thiero.  But he makes out of control mistakes.

Knox and Richmond?  Not ready.

Z had nothing against Baylor.  I'm not ready to crown him because Troy.

Prove me wrong.  Bring some analysis to counter. I'm speaking to THIS point in the season only.

It's early. But right now I stand by what I said.

Wagner looks like he lacks confidence on offense, but he's probably the best defensive guard we've had since Nolan was on the bench.
Perish peacefully in a warm environment.

Barton Fink

This team may be the best defensive team we've had since the Nolan era.

The defense is good and what is keeping me interested at this point (aside from my inborn and unchangeable status as a Razorback fan). Our offense is hard to watch, and our "star players" seem like pumpkins so far.

I didn't know there was a game last night. Apathy is a bitch. Hopefully I'll perk up around conference time.
The same people demanding everyone embrace your beliefs, have zero tolerance and condemn another for embracing theirs.  Oh, the irony.

Quote from: hit_that_line on Nov 14, 2024, 05:41 AMWhat is Aidoo'd injury? Seems like we're fucked if he doesn't get right.

If you don't know what his injury is, how do you know he will be hurt all year?

It's a comment in a game thread, moron. Are you one of those weird autistics that takes everything literally? My god I would fire you day one if I had to deal with that. Your wife must be a fucking saint.

You could have just said you lied.

What is the "figurative" angle to saying "Aidoo will be hurt all year."?

Quote from: hit_that_line on Nov 13, 2024, 07:24 PMThin Red Swine and the rest of the morons assured us the shooting woes are an easy fix.

Second half we shot 63.6% from the field and 66.7% from three.  Our three point shooting has improved each game through the first three.

Seems like someone is slowly figuring out how to fix the shooting woes.

So one good half from one player is your statistically significant evidence. Got it.

Not a numbers guy I'm guessing. We also shot it in the 20's in the exhibitions.

Yeah I'm sure Davis will continue to shoot 15% from three and Wagner probably won't make one all season. We'll see some positive regression without a doubt. This team isn't a great shooting team but they're not terrible either.

Wagner shot sub 30 last year.

He streaky but there's nothing wrong with his shot. He's also shooting 0% from three so far and Davis is shooting 15%. Both of their three point % will be going up.

And not fully healthy. The offense will get better. Shooting will improve as well. We may look like those TN teams that suffocate you on defense and best you 65-60 for a while and I'm fine with that.

On a bum ankle. His numbers don't matter much though. He's not gonna be a volune 3pt shooter. Fland, Z and Davis will carry our numbers. They need to shoot above 35%.

HTL going with the, "Hey I was just kidding fellas," excuse again.

I see why you're a recluse now.

It's a comment in a game thread based on an observation about a player who has been injured a while and is clearly not close to being healthy. You people are fucking odd odd odd. "Omg!! How could you even say something like that?"

Son of Spam

I didn't get to watch the second half, but early in the first half or at the beginning of the game, we didn't look very inspired and to me we looked tired or something. Our shots were banging off the front of the rim. Couldn't make two wide open dunks. Just throwing up bricks. Apparently, on the second half, we came around. Seems like we did the same thing against Baylor.
Well, shit...

Doc Hogaday

Just watched the post-game press conference.

Cal said Aidoo is "fully healed" but is still playing in pain and is only at about "70-75%". Seems like nonsense to me. Anybody who watched could see he couldn't move last night. Four minutes and no statistics recorded. I would say he is closer to 5%. Sit him until conference if you have to.

Said he told the coaches Z is going to have to put up 5-6 threes per game. Sure he shot well last night but where is that going to leave offensive rebounding, especially w/out any other bigs, if he's on the perimeter all game?

Also mentioned how weak Z is around the basket which made me happy. Hope it lights a fire.

Briefly mentioned Brazile. Said there was some swelling. Anybody hear any updates on him today?

I heard him say that about Aidoo. It still doesn't make sense. As for what happens to our rebounding with Z on the perimeter, Thiero is our best rebounder, Brazile and Davis might be 2 and 3.
