The Whyte Boar

I brought up in one of the exhibition game threads that I hoped Cal hadn't been too ambitious in his scheduling.  We could easily be a bubble team if they don't gel or have an injury or two.  We don't have many gimmes.

We won't. More likely to 4-1 than 0-5

We'll beat Duke and Houston for sure. We don't lose when I'm in the building.

This loss was really good for our team.  Especially the freshmen.

Knox is a head scratcher.  He's pressing, making selfish decisions.  It's like he wants to get his and be the man.  He's not.

That's a big issue.  We need him to settle down and accept his role as our 3rd or 4th option.

That's a pretty damn good problem to have. I'm taking about the fact that he's a lock to get drafted if he's healthy and he's our 3rd or 4th option.

Yes.  The talent is there.  We know that.  The concern with Cal's teams so far to me, is the chemistry.

We saw that last year with Thiero and Fland. They never really fit into the chemistry.  And when they got hurt, we went on a run.

Knox looks like he doesn't fit ✅️  now.  In the same way that DJ is back to playing off the ball.

It's good for Brazile to suck too.  He's gone away from playing the role that took us far last year.  Play defense, rebound and get opportunistic buckets.  10-12 points and 10 boards with a couple blocks.  He was playing one on one the other night.

All good.  Should be fun to watch.  We know Acuff and Thomas are the dudes.  Everyone can't be the dude or we've got a mess.

One thing with Nolan's championship teams was you had a couple of stars (Mayberry, Day, Thurman, Williamson, etc) that everything was ran through, and a plethora of guys who could've been big stars somewhere else, who were happy to sacrifice points and shots for the team.

Huery,Beck, Stewart, McDaniel, even Big O, Morris, the list goes on and on.  Guys who could've gone somewhere and averaged 20.  They averaged 8-10 at Arkansas.

That will be the telltale to me.  Can Knox and Brazile and Wagner be happy averaging 8-10 points, while the freshmen take over this year?

I don't think Knox was healthy. He probably shouldn't have played. He was trying to help the team because he knew it was an important game. He was rusty from lack of practice.
I really don't care, Margaret.

yeah, i think him falling down a couple of times might have been because he had a foot.

Anybody interested in going to the game Friday night, I'll have 2 tickets.

Anything being said about Brazile slapping a Spartan fan with a towel as they were making fun of his hairball?
