True that, I guess I should clarify, SCALDING HOT.    I machined an 80% AR lower last night in the garage for no apparent reason other than just...because.  Don't even have the upper to put on it, but to me, nothing says "America" more than making your own firearms at home.  Whipping out an AR with parts you can buy online and ship to your home with no serialization and assemble from a lower you machined with no serialization or registration or tracking...That is American.

Machining whisper pickles was way more fun before they took away the tax stamp, but still fun just to "Have" and hide in various places.

I'm still celebrating. Just reread Nathaniel Philbrick's Bunker Hill. It's the first of three he did on the Revolutionary War.  It leads up to Lexington and Concord and finishes with the British evacuation of Boston. Joseph Warren is his leading figure of the book. It is so good.

I've got to read this.  Joseph Warren is one of my heroes.  He's overlooked bc he died so early in the War.
